About This Job

Overview:

Worcester Sand & Stone is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support our aggregates and crushing operations. This role is critical to the success of our yard and production workflow and requires both technical expertise and strong personal accountability.

Responsibilities:

•

Operate heavy equipment including excavators, front-end loaders, and related machinery

•

Support crushing and screening operations, including feeding crushers and managing stockpiles

•

Maintain daily production goals and ensure safe, efficient equipment operation

•

Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues promptly

•

Take ownership of equipment care and cleanliness on a daily basis

•

Work closely with production and sales teams to ensure materials are processed and moved effectively

•

Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures

•

Represent the company professionally on and off site.

Qualifications:

•

Minimum of 8 years professional operating experience working for a company (not self-employed or freelance)

•

Proficient in operating excavators and front-end loaders

•

Experience working with aggregates, crushing, or screening equipment is required

•

Valid 2A/1C hoisting license is required

•

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work independently

•

Demonstrated commitment to equipment maintenance and uptime

•

Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and take pride in equipment care and job performance

•

Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in outdoor job site conditions

•

Must provide at least two professional references from prior employers or supervisors
