Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager – Information systems, the IS Business Analyst is a key member of the Information Systems group and is responsible for managing licensing, providing Dynamics 365 functional support, CIS Framework adoption and compliance, and document creation and knowledge base management for the IS department.
Responsibilities:
•+ Oversees and optimizes the management of all software licenses across the organization;
+ Ensures all licenses are correctly allocated and tracked to prevent over-licensing or under-licensing;
+ Monitors usage metrics and compliance with licensing agreements, identifying areas of optimization and risk;
+ Coordinates with internal stakeholders, procurement, and vendors to ensure that the organization’s software licensing strategy is cost-effective and compliant with vendor terms;
+ Performs audits and reconciliations of software usage and licenses, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
•Microsoft Dynamics 365 Functional Use:
•+ Acts as the primary business liaison for the functional use of Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring it meets the needs of various business units;
+ Works closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for Dynamics 365 processes, ensuring these align with business objectives;
+ Assists with the configuration, customization, and functional implementation of Dynamics 365 modules ensuring the system is fully utilized in accordance with business goals;
+ Provides ongoing support to business users, identifying opportunities to improve Dynamics 365 adoption and increase operational efficiency;
+ Manages user access, role-based security, and permissions within Dynamics 365 to ensure secure and efficient use of the system.
•CIS Framework Adoption & Compliance:
•+ Assists in the integration of the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls into organizational policies and business processes;
+ Works with IS and security teams to ensure the organization adheres to CIS best practices, especially in areas affecting software usage and security;
+ Tracks and reports on the organization’s progress toward achieving compliance with relevant CIS controls;
+ Provide guidance on security measures, ensuring Dynamics 365 and other business systems meet CIS security standards.
•Reporting & Documentation:
•+ Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for software license management, Dynamics 365 functional use, and CIS compliance activities and monitor’s monthly pool of support vendor hours;
+ Creates and delivers reports for leadership on license utilization and business application performance;
+ Tracks project milestones and deliverables, ensuring that license management, Dynamics 365 implementations, and CIS security guidelines are adhered to.

Requirements:

•Experience managing licensing involving multiple applications in an enterprise environment required;
•Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
•Familiarity with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls and experience working within a framework of security best practices.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
•Capable of training entry level and high-end users; strong interpersonal, analytical and facilitation skills;
•Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
•Experience with Dynamics 365 security configurations and user access management.
•Experience with cloud-based license management and SaaS platforms.
•Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff and management;
•Effective communications both in verbal and written format;
