Job Description: Landman (Biomass Energy)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Landman to join our team in the Biomass Energy industry. As a Landman, you will be responsible for conducting research, evaluating and assessing land properties, and negotiating land agreements. Your expertise and knowledge will play a vital role in supporting our company's operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and evaluations of land properties for potential biomass energy projects in Alabama.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential sites, assess feasibility, and propose land acquisition strategies.
- Negotiate and secure land agreements, leases, and easements with landowners, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze legal and financial documents related to land transactions and provide recommendations to company management.
- Prepare detailed reports, assessments, and documentation related to land acquisitions, easements, and lease agreements.
- Act as a liaison between the company and landowners, addressing any concerns or questions, and maintaining positive relationships.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices relating to land management and renewable energy development.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Additional certifications or specialized training will be considered a plus.
- Previous experience as a Landman, preferably in the Biomass Energy or Renewable Energy industry, is highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of land acquisition processes, legal frameworks, and environmental considerations.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data from various sources.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with landowners and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding land rights, zoning, and permitting related to biomass energy projects.
- Proficiency in using land management software, GIS, and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:
