Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional Millwright Supervisor to execute complex tasks on project sites. This position contributes to Viacore’s reputation for safe and timely project execution and is vital to the long-term success of the Mechanical Services division


Key Responsibilities

Follow the direction of the Mechanical Services Superintendent
Complete daily field documentation inclusive of toolbox meetings, review of JHA, site inspections, time sheets etc..
Follow all safe work practices and procedures
Maintain a positive workplace
Give direction and mentor new workers to help them work safely and productively
Conduct prompt and thorough investigations of all incidents/near misses
Assist in creating job scopes for field/shop projects
Ensure all workers have completed all appropriate safety paperwork
Spot check jobs to ensure that they are being carried out in a safe manor
Ensure safety documentation is available and up to date
Coordinate with Viacore safety and site safety as required
Project support and build client relations


Qualifications/Education

5 + years Millwright experience with Red Seal Industrial Millwright certification
3 + years in supervisory role
Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) or equivalent
Valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Mechanical Drawing Comprehension
Fabrication and Welding Drawing Comprehension
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to pass customer-required pre-access D&A tests
Able to work independently or in a team environment
Proficient in English, both verbal and written
Efficient in time management
Exceptional organizational skills
Understand material handling principles
