Westinghouse Electric Company’s Specialty Welding & Machining business unit is seeking an Operations Support Lead to oversee and manage critical operational functions, including nuclear access compliance, security administration, travel coordination, procurement support, and event planning. This role ensures seamless execution of key business operations, working closely with leadership, field service teams, and corporate functions to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Nuclear Access & Security Compliance:

•

Coordinate and manage nuclear site access requirements, ensuring personnel meet all regulatory and security requirements.

•

Serve as Local Security Administrator, overseeing badging, physical access, and compliance monitoring.

•

Implement and maintain security procedures in alignment with nuclear industry standards.

Medical, Psychological, And Training Compliance

•

Schedule and arrange medical and psychological evaluations required for personnel access to nuclear sites.

•

Serve as a NANTEL Exam Proctor, administering training exams and ensuring compliance with industry qualifications.

Procurement & SAP Support

•

Generate and manage purchase requisitions and orders in SAP, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services.

•

Work closely with supply chain and finance teams to monitor spending and optimize procurement strategies.

Travel & Logistics Coordination

•

Manage travel notices and logistics for field service personnel, ensuring alignment with project schedules.

•

Provide travel support, including itinerary planning, compliance with company policies, and cost-efficient solutions.

Event & Conference Coordination

•

Plan and manage corporate events, training sessions, and operational meetings, including securing conference spaces and logistics coordination.

Who You Are

•

Minimum 5+ years of experience in operations support, compliance, security, or logistics roles.

•

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP for procurement, scheduling systems, and security administration tools.

•

Compliance & Security: Strong understanding of nuclear industry security policies or experience in a regulated environment.

•

Logistics & Coordination: Proven ability to manage complex travel, procurement, and scheduling processes.

•

Technology Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

•

Notary Public Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Background in nuclear operations, field service support, or security administration.

•

Military veterans with experience in logistics, security, procurement, or compliance are encouraged to apply.

•

Prior experience supporting highly regulated or technical business units.
