Purchasing & Accounts Payable Assistant

Being a small company the position will include other duties that pop up and need to be addressed at times, so flexibility is a requirement.

S2W is a Drug- free environment pre-employment drug testing will be part of the position

Responsibilities

· Purchasing: including Parts for projects but not limited to Office, PPE & fleet supplies etc.

· Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs

· Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices

· Maintain & issue PO records

· Update job list with all PO’s issued for customer parts

· Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders

· Ensure all products arrive in good condition and assist in warehouse operation

· Maintain current job list with area supervisor and accounts receivable

· Monitor expense reports

· Assist in maintaining company issued tools, safety equipment etc.

· Collect and review paperwork to be sent to main office

· Maintain building sign in sheets & monitor activity

· Maintain records and keep organozed

· Keep up to date Texas Job Schedule – Work with Supervisor to gather info and keep track of where everyone is

- Maintain housing reservations for area employees

Requirements

· Work experience in Purchasing, Billing, AP or similar accounting role or understanding

· Hands-on experience Quickbooks is advantageous.

· Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Suite tools

· Ability to work well independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a high pressure environment.

· Organization skills

· Valid Driver’s license with clean record

· Ability to operate a forklift

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

· Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds occasionally.

· After hours phone calls, possible OT and weekend work included at times

· Drug testing pre employment and random policies – support a drug free environment.
