Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. This multifaceted role involves sourcing and purchasing materials, managing inventory and warehouse logistics, coordinating daily deliveries, and supporting project and administrative functions. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, warehouse staff, and accounting, ensuring smooth operations and timely project support.

Duties

1. Procurement & Pricing:

•

Source and purchase materials and equipment at the most competitive market prices.

•

Obtain quotes and secure approvals prior to purchase.

•

Secure prices for new projects.

•

Get different prices from different vendors.

2. Inventory & Warehouse Oversight:

•

Maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.

•

Go to the jobsite to check equipment inventory

•

Ensure warehouse is organized and supports efficient daily operations and deliveries.

•

Track all materials going in and out of the FCC warehouse.

•

Maintain detailed records of company-issued T-shirts and their distribution.

3. Delivery Coordination:

•

Schedule and organize daily deliveries with the warehouse/delivery staff.

•

Coordinate Dump and Returns for each Job site.

•

Prepare delivery schedules and materials for the following day.

•

Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of projects, ensuring proper material handling.

•

Be able to unload a load truck +50 pounds.

•

Clean warehouse once a week.

•

Make are guys in the warehouse are pro active an keep a good communication.

4. Project Support:

•

Work directly with Project Managers to verify material quantities and needs.

•

Ensure timely delivery of approved materials to all job sites.

•

Support warranty documentation with proper forms (Intent to Warrant, Request for Warranty).

•

Keep accurate records of rented swing stage equipment usage and dates to avoid discrepancies in billing.

5. Document Control & Approvals:

•

Review and approve invoices for accuracy; maintain orderly records by project.

•

Submit finalized purchases to Accounts Payable for processing.

•

Accept only formatted material/equipment requests.

•

Maintain and update all formats and records related to:

- Tools and equipment

- Material purchases

- T-shirt distribution

- Submittals and warranty documentation

6. Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance:

•

Monitor the condition of company vehicles and schedule regular maintenance.

•

Ensure tools and equipment remain in proper working condition.

7. Engineering & Submittals:

•

Prepare and submit material submittals to the Engineer of Record (EOR) for each project.

•

If there is a material change, provide formal submittals for engineer review and approval.

8. Administrative & Management Support:

•

Support additional tasks as requested by management, accounting, or the company president.

•

Be flexible and proactive with company needs that arise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,255.00 - $51,506.00 per year
