Responsible for checking and inspecting incoming materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure quality parts are produced to print, within established production standards.
· Must be dependable, cooperative, with high diligence, and work well independently and as part of a team.
· Understand and ensure the proper techniques and materials are used for surface preparation and application.
· Inspect surface preparation before paint application, ensuring it’s clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
· Perform receiving inspection of parts from a vendor prior to painting. (Look for weld quality and cleanliness)
· Identify defects such as runs, drips, bubbles, or uneven coverage.
· Document and report findings of inspections and tests, including any deviations or defects.
· Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality.
· Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment in the paint room to ensure they remain accurate and effective.
· Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
High school diploma or equivalent. 2-5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in powder coating. Vocational training or certification in industrial painting.
