As a R&D NDT Engineer you’ll gain exposure to the additive and hybrid manufacturing industries, design experiments to integrate NDT into automated processes and lead internal certification efforts. You'll work on a multidisciplinary team of materials, software and automation engineers and build skills in experiment design, data management and analysis, and report writing.

This position will support many novel technologies and applications where existing NDT solutions are not available. The R&D NDT engineer will be able to support complex projects utilizing sensor, signal and source design fundamentals to deliver outcomes in advanced manufacturing applications. A deep and practical understanding of NDT technologies will be crucial for success in this position.


Responsibilities

Must be a US Person according to FAR22 CFR 120.15 - US Person
Design experiments to integrate and automate NDT evaluations
Analyze and interpret analytical data
Advise project leads on NDT related topics
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate NDT data into software solutions
Identify and refine NDT approaches for novel applications and geometries
Keep samples and data organized
Report daily progress and any setbacks that occurred
Assist and communicate with other team members
Establish SOPs and best practices
Provide recommendations for improvement


Required Attributes & Skills

Fundamental understanding with common NDT technologies (VT, PT, RT, UT)
Knowledge of novel NDT technologies
Ability to operate under minimal supervision
Able to write analytical reports
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Desire to work in a team environment
Lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
Able to use equipment to assist in lifting heavy loads


Advantageous Attributes & Skills

ASNT or equivalent certifications
Experience repairing or servicing NDT equipment


Other Requirements & Position Details

This is an in-person (with potentially some remote work) position at our Leominster, MA facility - you must be able to provide your own transportation
Must be able to work a consistent schedule each week

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
