Scrap Cutter

The Scrap Cutter/Burner ensures scrap metal is prepared for processing. This includes identifying ferrous materials and sorting metals as well as cutting scrap metal into specified sizes from the ground or aerial lift. (Other duties may be assigned and management retains the discretion to add, delete, or change the duties at any time).

Required qualifications and experience:

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Perform job tasks in wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, and work in outdoor weather. Routinely lift and move 50lbs. Be physically capable of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which is required in most designated work areas. Routinely work from heights.
