POSITION Service Manager ( This position will service both the Beaumont, TX and Lake Charles, LA locations)
DUTIES
•Monitor field and shop jobs including closing all work orders in a timely manner.
•Responsible for determining repair methodologies and job flows to maximize the effectiveness, efficiency and customer satisfaction of the service functions.
•Compliance with and train to communicate company objectives and policies, to develop technical skills and to encourage employee participation and personal growth.
•Prepare bids and have oversight of quotes for repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner
•Maintain an adequate and appropriate staff of qualified, trained, and customer-oriented service technicians
•Ensure workplace morale to include employee hiring and firing as necessary and in accordance with P&L review
•Review and evaluate all work orders for accuracy
•Negotiate and settle customer and internal service disputes
•Control and evaluate department P& L, including capital expenditures
•Review all daily timecards and approve weekly payroll reports
•Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with HR and Federal, State, and Local regulations, including DOT, MSHA, and OSHA
•Hold monthly safety and quarterly committee meetings
•Place follow-up calls to customers to build relations, repeat business, and customer satisfaction
•Assist with other duties as assigned
Requirements:
•4-year technical degree or equivalent experience in this position with a minimum 5 to 10 years of previous heavy machinery maintenance and/or management experience
•Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
•Personal accountability and self-management to prioritize and complete all tasks required of the position.
•Must be goal-oriented, work well with others, and adaptable to execute various tasks
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime as necessary
•Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Physical:
•Ability to see in full range color
•Ability to kneel, climb, bend, twist, lift and squat to service equipment
•Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs
•Must be able to work in any weather environment
•Must be able to safely operate in, around, under and on top of equipment
