Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team. We are a growing company and looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic. This position requires a some mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively with both power and hand tools. Forklift experience is a bonus, but we can train on site. Responsibilities
•
Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools to assist in the fabrication and assembly of products.
•
Support the assembly line by ensuring that all components are prepared and ready for production.
•
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
•
Assist in the organization of materials and supplies within the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow.
•
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning.
•
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
•
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and tool operation.
Experience
•
Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred.
•
Familiarity with operating forklifts is preferred, but not mandatory; training may be provided.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues with tools and equipment.
•
Experience working on an assembly line or in warehouse operations is highly desirable.
•
Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
•
A commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean work environment is essential.
