Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team in a roofing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong small engine knowledge and experience working with various hand and power tools. This role is essential in supporting the operations and ensuring that our roofers schedules and supplies are readily available daily
Duties
•
Assist in the gathering/delivery of products , ensuring adherence to quality standards.
•
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
•
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve production processes.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the shop area.
•
Perform routine maintenance on equipment as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
•
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues..
•
Maintain inventory of tools / materials
Skills
•
Strong mechanical knowledge, with experience in a factory or manufacturing setting preferred.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation is highly desirable.
•
Familiarity with warehouse operations and practices is a plus.
•
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality output in all tasks performed.
•
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
•
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement in processes.
