Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a turbine repair shop. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the machinists by assisting with various tasks related to assembly, parts cleaning, and general shop operations. This position requires a mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively, independently and with a team.
Responsibilities
•
Assist in the assembly of steam turbines, valves, and pumps, ensuring quality standards are met.
•
Utilize hand tools and power tools as needed.
•
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area to promote a safe working environment.
•
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
•
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with machinery and tools.
Skills
•
Basic mechanical abilities or knowledge.
•
Ability and willingness to learn hand tools and power tools.
•
Dependable, reliable, punctual, honest person
•
Drivers license
•
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
•
A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn new skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
