Job Summary
The Technical Service Specialist will collaborate closely with employees across multiple departments to provide the critical inputs for generating an accurate quote in a timely manner, as well as support engineering, production, and quality in achieving company goals. The Technical Service Specialist will evaluate setup time, cycle time, programming time, and manufacturing methodology for accuracy on new and existing products. This role requires a high attention to detail, and general business savvy with familiarity in DFM, GD&T, risk analysis, and analysis of overall product fit into Grovtec’s portfolio.
Responsibilities
•
Supporting the company’s ambition of delivering highly accurate quotes in a short timeframe
•
Work collaboratively to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimates
•
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents
•
Review and update existing part costing and production accuracy
•
Creates and maintains part numbers, BOMs, and routers for new and existing parts
•
Support new part onboarding and production management for new job creation
•
Support document control and maintain accurate records
•
Support sourcing and purchasing of tooling, machining supplies, materials, etc
•
Support outsourcing and supplier discovery and interfacing
•
Other duties as assigned
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
•
Proficient in viewing and interpreting technical documents and drawings
•
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) preferred
•
Proficient in Microsoft software tools (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Teams)
•
Proficient in the use of Grovtec’s ERP system (Global Shop) preferred
•
Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates
•
Excellent analytical and research skills
•
Experience history of machining parts from stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and plastics
•
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
