Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the daily operations of our accounting functions. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. The candidate will work directly with the Controller.

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

•

Assist in the preparation of vendor contracts and purchase orders

•

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

•

Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests

•

Maintain and reconcile vendor records and statements

•

Support monthly and year-end closing processes

•

Prepare and enter journal entries

•

Assist with payroll preparation and job cost allocation

•

Help track project budgets, change orders, and billing

•

Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems

•

Communicate with vendors and project managers to resolve discrepancies

•

Perform general administrative support to the Controller as needed

Qualifications

•

Bilingual (English and Spanish)

•

Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

•

Basic understanding of accounting principles

•

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (candidate will be asked to complete a Microsoft Office proficiency test and score 70% or higher)

•

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•

Prior experience or interest in the construction industry is a plus
