Description:
Job Summary: Collection, analysis, and organization of materials data to ensure Weber Knapp’s facilities, products, and processes meet applicable local, state, national, and international environmental regulations.
Function of Position:
•To ensure compliance with environmental law, regulations, and policies while supporting facility goals for safety, production, and budgets.
•Provide technical permitting, permit compliance, environmental reporting, and regulatory support to facility management and engineering personnel.
•Identify, analyze, and track new and emerging environmental regulations.
•Assist the training of facility personnel to meet environmental regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Ideal Skills:
•Knowledge of Federal and NY State requirements for wastewater permitting, hazardous waste permitting and reporting, air permitting, stormwater permitting and compliance, chemical and petroleum bulk storage, and EPCRA (Tier II and TRI) reporting required.
•Strong technical knowledge and experience in meeting compliance and reporting requirements from REACH Regulation, RoHS Directive, Conflict Minerals Regulation, Toxic Substance Control Act, PFAS related Regulations, and Cal Prop 65.
•Experience contributing to the success of environmental compliance programs.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
•Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the office and factory floor.
Required Qualifications :
•Degree in Environmental, Chemical, Materials, Environmental Science, or a closely related engineering discipline, or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
