Job Description:
Cherry Energy is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our operations team. This frontline operations and customer service position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching deliveries of our liquid fuel products to customer locations. The Dispatcher plays a key role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Represent the values and mission of Cherry Energy in all customer and team interactions, both in person and over the phone.
•
Efficiently manage and dispatch automatic and will-call deliveries of liquid fuel and propane to meet customer commitments.
•
Work directly with fuel and propane drivers to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain safe and timely delivery operations.
•
Utilize and become proficient in iRely logistics software and other internal platforms to manage dispatch operations and delivery routes.
•
Monitor and manage inventory levels; assist with transport dispatching and related logistical activity.
•
Understand and follow company policies and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to the safe transportation and delivery of liquid fuel products.
•
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
•
Track and contribute data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance.
•
Provide customer service support as needed, maintaining respectful and professional communication that builds trust and value.
•
Participate in fuel plan sales, setup, and support by understanding Cherry Energy’s service offerings.
•
Take responsibility for after-hours emergency calls on a rotating basis.
•
Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•
3+ years of dispatching experience preferred but not required.
•
Technologically proficient and comfortable working in logistics software (experience with iRely is a plus).
•
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions quickly and independently.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a high attention to detail.
•
Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
•
Solid understanding of numbers, basic mathematical formulas, and data analysis.
•
Experience with custom or internal computer programs is a plus.
