Job Summary
The Intern will assist and participate in the design of oil and gas production and midstream facilities, including new installations, upgrades and retrofits to existing onshore and offshore facilities.The Intern will complete tasks under close supervision of senior engineering staff.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
The Intern will be exposed to or participate in activities such as listed below:
• The development of Design Basis criteria from piecemeal client information;
• Process simulations and develop process flow diagrams with stream tables;
• Development of P&IDs or mechanical flow sheets;
• Gathering of data, including production data, product specs and site condition data;
• Sizing calculations for process equipment, piping, in-line instruments, valves, and pipelines using company developed tools;
• Preparation of equipment specifications and data sheets;
• Preparation of specifications and data sheets for instruments and specialty items;
• Review of vendor quotations, drawings, and related submittals.
• Oil & gas production, gas processing, gas treating, and related processes and utility systems
• Domestic and International projects
• Onshore and offshore projects
• PreFEED conceptual design and selection studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering (DE)
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills And Abilities)
Basic or Minimum Requirements
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future;
• Enrollment in a four (4) year baccalaureate program for Chemical Engineering;
• Expected Graduation between December 2025 and May 2026;
• Candidate must provide a resume as well as college or university transcripts.
Working Conditions
• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private office) but may require occasional travel to off-site work locations;
• Field duties may require outdoor work in a plant or offshore platform atmosphere;
• Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel;
• Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels;
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection;
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes;
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
