The Scheduling Coordinator is an integral part of the Dispatch & Customer Service team and operates as the front line of customer service. The position is responsible for receiving material orders from customers and helping to manage production and delivery schedules to fulfill customer requests. The role is based in San Diego, CA and reports directly to the Transportation and Logistics Manager. Requirements* Receive inbound phone calls from customers for material orders
Minimum Education and Experience* High School or GED equivalent required. B.A./B.S. degree in related field preferred
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include lifting/carrying up to 5 pounds from ground to waist, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity, repetitive motion, standing, sitting (must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time), walking, climbing stairs, and driving capabilities.
Working Conditions
Environment varies between air conditioned office environments and occasional outside assignments that may include all weather conditions such as heat, cold, wet or dry. Incumbent may be exposed to plant dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, on a limited basis. Incumbent may occasionally have to work outside of normal business hours via laptop and mobile phone.
