About the Role
This individual will serve as the face of Maverick Power to our internal customers and interface with all departments to develop and deliver human resources policies and procedures that drive operational efficiency and engagement. You will need to be a self-starter who can implement and deliver solutions that address issues with retention, change management and communication, employee engagement, and performance management. You will partner with leaders, directors, managers, and employees in executing an effective Human Resources function to achieve the organization’s vision, mission, and overall goals of the business.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
•Manages the development and administration of company-wide human resources policies and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and state and federal legal requirements
•Responsible for leading a group of human resource business partners (HRBP’s) that support plants in Garland, McKinney, Plano, & Arizona. Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops human resources staff; managing their schedules and workflow
•Support the HRBP’s with updating new employee orientation and launching an employee recognition program across the sites
•Owns annual human resources activities and schedule while educating leaders on deliverables of human resources activities to include talent reviews, succession planning, merit cycle, organizational design, change management, communication, and performance management
•Assist in designing and implementing programs that promote employee engagement to include diversity, equity, inclusion, well-being, employee resources groups, activities committee, etc. Develops and manages the exit interview process; develops systems for communicating gathered information to management
•Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to employees and management, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment
•Assist in efforts to optimize organizational structure and processes to support business objectives, strategic objectives, and cultural transformation
•Own the development and implementation of performance management systems that drive accountability and continuous improvement
•Creates and delivers presentations on the organization’s human resources policies and practices including leader and employee communication and translation
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibilities
•Directly supervises employees within the Human Resources department
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
•Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
What You Bring [Qualifications]
•Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of HR Generalist experience partnering directly with leaders to develop, align, and implement HR strategies
•5+ years business-facing HR or HR Operations experience preferred
•Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
•Skills: Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment law, Affirmative Action, and EEO compliance

Physical Requirements
•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
