Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Billing Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for custom residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable with construction terminology, and able to manage complex billing structures across multiple projects.
Duties
•
Prepare and issue timely and accurate client invoices in accordance with project contracts and billing schedules.
•
Ensure compliance with lien waiver requirements, project billing documentation, and client-specific billing protocols.
•
Maintain and update billing reports and documentation for each project.
•
Respond to internal and external billing inquiries professionally and promptly.
•
Support the integration and use of construction management and job costing software.
•
Perform basic accounting functions: GL, job costing, journal entries, etc.
Qualifications
•
2+ years of experience in a billing or project administration role, preferably in the construction industry.
•
Strong understanding of construction billing practices and terminology.
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction job costing software (e.g. Computer Ease, Foundation, Oracle, etc.)
•
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
•
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
•
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred:
•
Experience with AIA billing formats or similar construction billing systems.
•
Familiarity with lien waiver processes and construction compliance documentation.
