The Project Manager plays a crucial role at Arguijo, overseeing project controls, execution, documentation, design coordination, finances, and the effective management of reporting positions. Arguijo is a self-performing heavy civil and commercial contractor delivering a wide range of projects, focusing on underground utilities including water, sewer, drainage, data, electric, and gas.
Responsibilities:
•
Manage project buy-outs, including subcontracts, service agreements, and purchase orders.
•
Oversee project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure project success.
•
Control project costs by reviewing pay requests, change orders, invoices, timesheets, and payroll.
•
Coordinate with the accounting department for timely payments and accounts receivable.
•
Lead the estimating department, including managing remote estimating teams, preparing estimates, and maintaining the bid calendar.
•
Oversee the project lifecycle from bidding and contract award to completion and final payment.
•
Train and supervise project control engineers and administrators.
•
Lead the utilization of project management and estimating software (HCSS HeavyJob and HeavyBid).
•
Maintain and analyze project schedules, reporting delays due to weather, general contractors, designers, or subcontractors to the division president.
•
Coordinate with the general superintendent on field activities, monitor production rates, and utilize available software tools to .
Skills:
•
Proficiency in HCSS Heavybid, Heavyjob, and MS Excel preferred.
•
Proficiency in Bluebeam preferred.
Education:
•
Must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
