General Overview

The Demand Planning Manager will report to the Director of Commercial Operations and is responsible for daily planning of commercial operations. This position will work with Plant Managers on real-time updates and relay course of action to the Commercial department. Responsible for organizational data reporting, team notification regarding critical inventory issues, and customer follow up. The position will also be the customer facing POC for any plant updates or informational requests.

Responsibilities* Responsible for daily planning as directed by the Director of Commercial Operations.
Works directly with Plant Managers on impactful plant updates and relays plan to Commercial for approval.
Leads team of departmental account representatives in conjunction with Director of Commercial Operations.
Responsible for messaging to customers via sales/account reps on downtime/caps, cuts, and changes to allocation.
Responsible for organization of data reporting to leadership. E.g. Forecast vs. Actual.
Alerts team to critical inventory issues while providing suggested action. Ensures execution of plan by account representatives.
Follows up on after hours needs related to downtime alerts/customer requests for updates.
Handles Quality Control matters including but not limited to contamination/sieve data.
Acts as customer facing POC for any plant updates or info requests with best interest of the business in mind at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, equivalent field of study, or equivalent experience required.

3+ years experience leading teams; frac sand or similar industry environment preferred.
3+ years experience in logistics within an industrial or similar industry environment.
Experience and proficiency in Excel, Sharepoint, and other data visualization software.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
Sitting – at desk or computer station, standing, walking, speaking, hearing – frequent.
Bending/Stooping, twisting, lifting – occasional.
Gripping, reaching, writing, fingering (data entry), handling (paper, files, etc.) – frequent.
Fine Motor Skills - typing, 10-key, ability to write for extended periods of time.
Seeing - able to see the computer screen.
Climbing - able to go up and down stairs.
Ability to respond to work outside of normal business hours
