The Temporary (6 months) Planner Associate provides administrative and coordination support to the Planning and Scheduling team, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient communication between departments. This role assists in tracking orders, preparing reports, maintaining schedules, and supporting documentation needs to help the planning team achieve production goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Supports the Planning and Scheduling team by tracking and updating open orders, inventory levels, and work order status.
•Assists in preparing and maintaining master production and shipping schedules.
•Coordinates with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Inventory Control, and Shipping to ensure accurate and up-to-date scheduling information.
•Assists in maintaining records for sales and buying forecast activities.
•Helps monitor and update workflow schedules based on capacity, routing, and lead times.
•Supports communication with suppliers to ensure material availability for scheduled production.
•Tracks and expedites delayed orders, updating schedules accordingly.
•Prepares production reports, KPIs, and other necessary documentation.
•Assists with generating and processing Internal Purchase Orders.
•Completes and submits inventory reports as required.
•Helps coordinate incoming shipment methods and logistics for inbound materials.
•Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and maintains accurate documentation.
•Ensures compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, ISO & IATF standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
•Performs other administrative and support duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
•Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
•Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
•Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field preferred.
•Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
•Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer and telephone.
•Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
•Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
