Job description: Fabricator
Overview:
We are a highly successfully 50-year-old company, looking for a friendly, energetic, enthusiastic and confident person for our small but busy firm that specializes in supplying metal parts to various industries.
Responsibilities
•
Familiar with operation of hydraulic shears, rolling & wire drawing machines, and punches
•
Read and interpret shop orders thoroughly
•
Familiar with the use of calipers, micrometers & depth gauges.
•
Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustment on all equipment as needed
•
Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled
•
Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
•
Meet standards of safety
•
Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company handbook
•
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
•
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications
•
Three (3) years sheet metal fabricating or acceptable training
•
Inspect for cracks, porosity & other metal defects
•
Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
•
Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devises
•
Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it
•
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40#’s
•
The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; and reach with hand and arms for 8 hours a day.
•
This is a full-time position
Compensation is based on experience
The employee is required to be squatting, kneeling or bending position
•
