Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Attorney to join our team in the Downstream Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in land acquisitions and lease negotiation. As an attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support to our organization in all legal matters related to the Downstream Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters related to the Downstream Oil & Gas industry

- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements

- Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations

- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if necessary

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements

- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in the legal landscape

- Advise management on potential legal risks and suggest mitigating measures

- Negotiate and settle disputes or legal issues, ensuring the organization's best interests

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to the State Bar of Illinois

- Previous experience working in the Downstream Oil & Gas industry is preferred

- Strong knowledge of land acquisitions and lease negotiation

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the Downstream Oil & Gas industry
