Job Description:
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney to join our team in the Coal Mining industry. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal assistance and guidance to the organization, primarily in the areas of drafting, land use planning, lease negotiation, and management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to the company in matters related to coal mining operations.
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate lease agreements and resolve legal disputes.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations, and communicate any potential impacts on the business.
- Proactively identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide legal guidance on matters related to land use planning and development.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the State Bar Association of New York.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant legal experience in the coal mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of drafting, land use planning, lease negotiation, and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
This is a part-time position, offering flexible work hours based on business needs. The salary for this role starts at $700 per month.
