Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety is responsible for leading HR strategy and operations to align with the company’s business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including labour relations, organizational development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, health and safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence. The Senior Manager will play a key role in fostering a productive and positive work environment at Kubota Materials Canada Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement the Human Resources strategy aligned with overall business goals.
•Lead organizational development efforts to ensure employee objectives align with business objectives.
•Formulate and execute the Labour Relations strategy, including leading the collective bargaining process and agreement administration.
•Provide guidance to management on HR legal matters, engaging outside counsel as necessary.
•Oversee performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and succession planning.
•Lead the internal Pension Committee and liaise with external consultants.
•Manage recruitment efforts to ensure adequate staffing and address workforce needs.
•Oversee payroll processing and HRIS systems.
•Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and environmental regulations.
•Maintain Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements.
•Align improvement projects with organizational goals and monitor progress.
•Represent HR in company-wide meetings and act as emergency response outside business hours.
•Oversee environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•Support the company's global identity and branding initiatives.
•Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
•Post-graduate Human Resources certificate or a Master’s in Industrial Relations (MIR).
•CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE designation with HRPA.
•Minimum 12 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a unionized environment.
•At least 7 years of leadership experience in HR.
•Strong background in Occupational Health and Safety in a manufacturing setting.
•Expertise in labour negotiations and mediation.
•Experience managing HR budgets and leading multi-functional teams.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Experience managing environmental compliance and safety programs.
