About the job
Sofis Houston is looking to expand our sales team across the Americas Region. We are adding a Sales Manager to our team who will responsible for profitable growth and creating a sustainable pipeline of opportunities across several geographies in the Americas. This growth and sustainability will require closely working with channel partners, end users and various other stakeholders in the operation and process safety of industrial facilities across many different markets. The primary objective of this role will be to increase the awareness and understanding of Sofis products in the markets we serve, build relationships with new and existing channel partners by enhancing their ability to hunt and cultivate opportunities, and to actively hunt and create new opportunities for Sofis and our partners across the region.
Success in this role will require the ability to understand the common and uncommon concerns that occur in the day-to-day operations of a plant or other industrial entity where process flow is critical to the success of the process, being able to explain both tangible and intangible benefits of operational and process safety products.
Your key responsibilities:
· Achieve sales and order intake targets for your region, by driving outstanding commercial results, for the short and long term, through effective revenue forecasting, scalable sales processes, channel and team management in the region.
· Enhance and provide value add to existing channel partners with in your assigned geography.
· Where channel partners are not existing develop a plan to identify, evaluate, select and onboard partners in order to maximize the your own success and the growth of Sofis.
· Work closely with the local Houston team as well as our global team to insure the best possible outcomes for Sofis.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and or mechanical/electrical solutions (valves).
· You have relevant experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Refining or Water industries.
· You are a hunter for new business opportunities.
· Pro-active and results driven, you have an outstanding track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
· Enthusiastic and self-motivated sales professional, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct meetings.
· You will have a strong intellect and enjoy solving problems by ensuring practical solutions are implemented.
· Experience in Strategic Account Planning demonstrating ability to plan, prioritize and focus.
· Efficiency in gathering market and customer information to enable negotiations regarding variations in prices, delivery and customer specifications to their managers.
· Self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines.
· You think strategically to identify high potential opportunities and replicable success.
· You have excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
· You set high standards for yourself and others in the pursuit of excellence, honesty, integrity, and trust.
· You are a team player and have strong leadership credentials for future growth opportunities.
· You will preferably have worked within a B2B sales environment with a technical / manufacturing company.
· Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive.
· Experience with CRM tools/dashboards such as Power BI, Microsoft Dynamix, data intelligence tools/portals.
· Full-time role – 40 hours per week.
