Description:

If you are a Quality professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland in Sidney, OH has a great opportunity for you!

As a Quality Manager, you will :

Lead the Quality Team
Collaborate with critical business partners such as Sales, Suppliers, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Procurement and Warranty
Collaborate with cross-functional groups and teams and provide quality guidance and support for new and existing products
Collaborate with Customers to resolve any product or process-related issues
Develop quality processes, systems, and methods associated with Customer support
Process optimization and Lean Daily Management
Generation of Customer quality plans to address issues
Develop and present technical updates to cross-functional teams, Business Unit leaders, and Customers
Maintain ISO 2015 Certification
Work with Plant Quality teams to resolve internal process or supplier material issues that impact the Plant and Customers
Lead Projects supporting A2L, R290, CO2 Programs
Manage projects relating to PPAP, Pilots, ECN, New Business Opportunities, New Product Development, X-Line, Next Gen Units, Refrigerant Charging, Test Boards, Leak Tests, Nitrogen Purge, Valves, Packaging, Deviations, Electronic Live Load, First Pass Yield
Support improving the Safety Culture score
Other activities that the organization may identify


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
5 years operations/materials experience or other relevant experience
At least 3 years in a quality engineering role
Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills
Strong background in quality management, quality engineering, lean manufacturing
Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Up to 5-10%; ability to travel domestically and internationally
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship is not available for this position


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

Prefer degree in Operations, Business, Quality, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
ASQ Certified CQE/CQM
ASQ Certified Green Belt or equivalent.
New Product Development and Introduction
Familiar with the use of Minitab, Statistical, or other statistical software


Work Schedule

The general working hours for this role are Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM onsite. Occasional after-hour work may be required.

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
