Operations Manager

About This Job


Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while identifying areas for improvement.
Anticipates risks, tracks operational challenges, and provides strategic resolutions.
Balances daily operational responsibilities across business lines, including vendor and risk management.
Works with Logistics and Asset teams to establish and achieve daily and quarterly targets.
Plays a key role in planning, project reporting, and change control implementation.
Oversees and reports operational metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Identifies trends, improves processes, and validates findings before presenting recommendations.
Works with back-office, onboarding, and transitions teams to ensure smooth execution of operations.
Establishes professional relationships, manages conflicts, and escalates issues when necessary.
Ensures operations adhere to legal, regulatory, and best practice standards, including OSHA and HIPAA.
Assists with hiring, improving onboarding processes, and reinforcing company culture and values.
Provides legal advice, conducts internal audits, and trains employees on regulations and ethical considerations.
Coaches and develops teams, sets KPIs, and ensures high performance.
Manages department budget, cost-cutting measures, and financial reporting.
Works with inventory teams to reduce costs and improve efficiency in asset utilization.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, finance, or related fields. PMP certification can substitute for educational requirements.
At least three years of proven project management experience, with two years as a Business Manager.
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, preferably in automotive or manufacturing, with deep knowledge of import/export and transportation regulations.
Proven leadership in managing teams, optimizing performance, delegating responsibilities, and maintaining organizational control.
Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management skills, ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Ability to analyze complex data, address operational concerns, and provide strategic solutions under high-pressure situations.
Expert understanding of business laws, technical regulations, security requirements, OSHA, HIPAA, and compliance best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, IT skills, negotiation abilities, and capacity to build strong internal and external relationships.
